The Company

Polar Health Oy was founded in 1987. The roots of the business go back to 1976, when Design Company Kari Viherlahti (a limited partnership company) began operations as a producer of natural health products and treatments. Design Company Kari Viherlahti was later merged into Polar Health Oy. Currently, our main products are salt rooms and health peat products. We continue to offer natural health treatment services on a local scale.

From the beginning, research and development activities have comprised a core area of our business. Our first innovations concerned health peat treatment methods. Lately, our product development has concentrated on our salt room business and on ozone and oxygen therapy processes.

Polar Health is owned jointly by Kari Viherlahti with his daughter, Pia Viherlahti, and with his son, Jari Viherlahti. Day-to-day operations are coordinated among business partners, subcontractors and employees. Jari Viherlahti is responsible for the marketing and sales of salt rooms in the United States.

The company has as its mission the development, marketing and sale of natural health products and therapies. In Finland, it is market leader in all its areas of business. Its next objective is to increase the relative importance of international operations on its revenue. International interest exists especially toward health peat treatment and salt room therapy.
